    It's hard to say without a specific question. Just know the basic points about each type of energy transfer, they can only really ask you to describe/compare each method for a 6 marker:

    Infrared Radiation
    - all objects emit and absorb radiation
    - type of electromagnetic radiation
    - doesn't require particles so works across a vacuum
    - dark & matt are best emitters & absorbers
    - light & shiny are best reflectors

    Convection
    - only occurs in liquids and gases because particles need to be able to move
    - requires particles so doesn't work in a vacuum
    - hot areas are less dense because their particles have more kinetic energy so rise, spreading heat, cool, become more dense and fall

    Conduction
    - poor conductors are insulators
    - can occur in all objects but works best in metals (worst in non-metals & gases)
    - requires particles so doesn't work in a vacuum
    - in metals, free electrons move around the metal, passing the kinetic energy through the metal as they collide with particles

    Here's a booklet on Energy Transfer, it has past gcse exam questions and mark schemes at the end. Some of the pages aren't alligned straight (photocopying error, ugh) but you can still read it.
