I'm a Canadian student taking Classical Studies next year, and I'm anxious to find out what level my fellow students will be at. Could anyone who took Latin A-levels please list some of the grammer you learnt in your final year or the activities you did--anything to give me an idea of how far behind I am, or if I'm even behind at all. Thankyou!

I wouldnt worry if they gave you a place they think you're good enough!
But erm grammar wise last year at AS I covered:
quin
gerunds and gerundives
dum
more in depth look at subjuctives
indirect speech

At A2 it's mainly just consolidation of this through doing lots of translations oh and learning the different uses for each case really well! I've studied Caesar, Ovid, Virgil and Tacitus.
Hope this helps!
yeah, pretty much the same

I did Latin A Level last year! We did prose composition (translating English into Latin) which was real helpful with grammar. I'd go into detail on what we covered, but it was a year ago and I kind of sucked anyway. I'd say you'd be on a similar level though, don't worry:smile:

Phew, yeah, seems like we're at the same level. What a relief. Thanks everyone!
