I have just received notice of my student finance including a grant and a loan. I was quite surprised to find that it wasn't all loan as i and expected (new government changes that came in).

Will i be eligible for a loan/grant if i complete my top-up (BSc) year at a later date - say beginning 2017 or 2018?Thanks for any help on this.

If you're a new student, did you apply for September 2016 start?

And yeah, you'd be eligible if you do a top-up.

I'm an existing student doing a FdSc enrolled in sept 2104 and I've enrolled for the Sept 2016 BSc top up however i'm thinking of taking a year out.

I was expecting to get just a loan due to the new government changes to SF.

Will i always be eligible for the grant part of SF?

I must add that the FdSc and the final year BSc are both standalone courses although on the very same subject at the same uni.
