Ok, so I've looked at all the past papers and here is what I think. I think these things for An Inspector Calls definitely won't come up:
-Eric (came up June 2015 and 2012 June)
-Sheila (Came up June 2015 on the reserve & June 2012 & June 2014(
-Social class (2012 June & 2015 June)
-Charity (June 2015 reserve paper)
One question said 'do you think AIC is an effective title' but that's so specific I don't think it'll come up again.
So I've narrowed it down to this:
They never asked specifically about mr & mrs birling, but:
-Contrast between the old & young generation come up 2013 June
-How Priestley uses Eva/Daisy (2013 jan, only came up once)
-Inspector Goole (2013 June)
-Responsibility (2013 June)
These im unsure of:
-Wealth came up in June 2014 so I don't think it'll come again but its only been asked once.
-How is Gerald presented as being from the upper class - This was asked in January 2014 so I also don't know.
Of Mice & Men:
What I don't think will come up:
-Curley (June 2015)
-Death (June 2015)
-How is Lennie shown as an innocent victim (June 2015 Reserve)
-Dream theme (June 2015 reserve)
-How is sympathy generated for crooks & 1 other character (jan 2015)
-Theme of power (jan 2015)
-Candy came up in Jan 2014 & June 2012
Might come up:
-Friendship (hasn't come up since June 2012)
-Character of Slim (only came up in June 2013)
-Theme of work (June 2013)
-How is curleys wife & 1 other character affected by prejudice (2013 Jan)
-The theme of disability (June 2014)
Unsure:
-The novella was published in 1937, how did the themes attract readers? (2013 Jan) this is really specific so I don't think they'll ask it again
-Curley & Curley's wife are the main source of trouble in this novel, how far do you agree (June 2014) well, curley came up in 2015 and this is the second time curleys wife comes up, so idk...
-How are different settings in the novel used to convey themes? (Jan 2014) also really specific.
If anyone knows the Jan 2016 questions please say because this will help us narrow it down more.
