My boyfriend for the past 3 years is suffering from depression for the past couple of days now. One of his family members dies and that is the main reason why he is suffering from it. I just want to cheer him up but I don't know how to. I've tried my best and I just hate to see him all sad and gloomy.

There is nothing you can do. He will just take time to get out of it. Just be their for him and show him that you love him.

    That's not depression. He's mourning.

It's not depression he's experiencing. He's grieving from a loss, that's normal. He'll recover at his own pace, just step back and let things take their course
