I really hate to seem cocky, so it is with some hesitation that I ask this, but what is it like to find GCSE/IGCSE subjects difficult? (Especially maths)
This isn't meant to be a troll post or anything, its just that I've always been surrounded by relatively high achieving people (the minimum requirement to get into my school's sixth form is an average of As at IGCSE), and I've never really had to put much effort into any of my subjects to get above 90% for both humanities and STEM subjects.
It may seem like a bit of a non-issue and tbh it probably is, but whenever the talk of exams and grades breaks out between someone who perhaps averages Bs, I feel a certain awkwardness and can't talk about my grades, I usually end up lying about them.

Well idk about maths or science cuz Im naturally gifted at those but things like English, History and RS I find horrible cuz Im not one of those ppl who is an amazing writer lol. I have to work much harder in those subjects than for STEM subjects. Im currently in year 11 and I also go to a school that is surrounded by people that get As and A*s in every subject but in my school, the average grade for maths is an A or an A* I think (I think the lowest anyone got at GCSE was a B but im not too sure about that). But yeah id say that if I spend more time doing subjects that involve more writing than subjects like maths. But thats just me lol.
