You can make 'em into a tea, but I don't think that's a strong way to take them... You could just eat them?

No idea about drying them out though - they grow in our local forest!

If you think about it drying doesn't actually make the effect stronger because you're still contains the same amount of hallucinogens. However, drying them up may affect how quickly they all enter your body. I'd advise against posting thsis kind of question here by the way, there's plenty of sites that explain this sort of stuff clearly.

They grow in my garden
they grow in my friend's garden, but his mum picks them and throws them away

Disclaimer - Don't do drugs kids, they're not big and they're not clever.

What you wanna get is psilocybin cubensis - usually known as philosopher's stones. They're a fresh 'truffle' fungus but not actually a mushroom - and because they're fresh, they're not illegal. Nice, not too visual/freaky trip, take a while to kick in (and you have to chop them up or chew them, otherwise you might end up thinking they're not working, take some more chopped up and get VERY high, not that I would do a thing like that .... ) you want 8 grams for a medium trip (i.e. not too much all at once) and 5 for a nice chill a bit like getting stoned.

I'm not too big up on other mushrooms as they tend to scare me. Don't bother smoking them, and if you get some proper mushrooms go easy on them. Dry them in a cool dry room/clean airing cupboard/moderate oven (live 50 degrees celcius or something. Chop 'em up and put them in chicken cuppasoup (ignore the rubbish about putting them in boiling water to make tea and put sugar in, it's disgusting). Try dutch smartshop websites for better advice than I can give you

let's say you'd just bought some fresh magic mushrooms. in what way could you 'prepare them'? and does drying them out make their effects stronger?

cook them. It's not worth it tho.

Yeh, getting into a frenzied panic about the paintings on the wall isn't my idea of fun. Ah well.

I like the natural stuff personally - they're much nicer trips/highs than anything artificial, and in some cases they can be free or legal

Thanks for the advice, Chiaki, I've got some Thai and Columbian Mushrooms at the moment but will give the truffles you mention a go when I head to Amsterdam on Thursday.

Here are some of the Thai, they're monsters! Columbian are much smaller.

And why's that then?

If it offends you so, give me the link to a site.

It doesn't offend me in the least, I was just trying to stop you from getting banned.
And it was a subtle hint to PM me if you wanted a link as well :P

Yeah, colombian ones are quite nice, I like to have just a little little of them at a time for a wee buzz, large amounts make me antisocial .... my only trouble with mushrooms is they're not really a communal drug, with too much I tend to end up sitting staring at the TV/walls/posters or sitting under my bedcovers in the dark looking at the pretty colours and shouting "why can you not see the pretty patterns/scary ghosts/flying bunnyrabbits?!?!" at my boyfriend  Amsterdam is so good, I have cousins who live there and were going for a little visit in the holidays, can't wait!
Imagine what it's like to actually be mental, or insane. You know, those people who are put away into padded cells.

THat's what it's like when you have 20g or so of magic mushrooms. Fun for a while, but not something you want to do all the time.

I've found you can often read people and emotions much much better when you;re on mushrooms too.

Ah see now, I'm already insane (well I'm depressed, and that's a mental 'condition'), and sometimes I think I'm saner when I'm high than when I'm straight  But yeah, you do have a point
Go to www.erowid.com for some cautionary tales. And delete this thread it's encouraging the use of drugs. Go on, delete it, you delete threads that are harmless, so delete this harmful one. Yes YOU!

what you really need to do is find a reindeer, feed the mushrooms to that and then drink its urine. i think this is just for Amanita muscaria - the 'traditional' red with white spots (like you see in fairy stories - apparently this is where the idea of fairies came from...) because if you eat them straight you get violently sick as well as the hallucinations - reindeer somehow filter out the bits that make you sick, leaving beautiful hallucination solution (unfortunately mixed with urea). apparently this is also where father christmas and his flying reindeer and elves came from. there was a mahoosive crop of these growing outside our bio lab at school - the gardeners penned them off with red and white tape and put up warning notices, although i think this was more likely to get the mushrooms noticed! (i was tempted to try them but didnt fancy being violently sick, and unfortunately there was no handy reindeer!) also we had some of those little brown ones growing in the field unknown to us until one of our lambs ate one and sat there tripping, gazing into space! we then found a half eaten crop of magic mushrooms!

Poor old Rudolph, and god damn the meanies forcing him into a hallucinary headf*ck.
