I have accepted and made my first choice uni decision and have also done it with my insurance. However i want to try and change my insurance choice to a differnt uni (studying the same course). I know the deadline for applying has passed now, so should i wait until results and try to get a place through clearing. Or should i call up now and see if i can change my insurance choice??

Did you initially apply and get an offer from this third choice?
If you declined an offer then contact them and ask if they would still honour this if you arranged to get them as your insurance. If they agree contact UCAS and your current insurance university. UCAS can make a switch if all the universities concerned agree.

If you didn't initially have this 3rd university as one of your choices (or did and they didn't make you an offer) then your only option for going there would be to contact your firm and insurance universities and to get them to agree to place you into Extra or Clearing (ie you would have to give up your current offers for this to happen).

If you definitely don't want to go to your insurance choice (and aren't willing to give up your firm choice to go for this 3rd university) and would prefer to go straight into Clearing if your firm rejects you then contact UCAS and your insurance and explain this and ask them to contact UCAS to arrange for you to no longer have an insurance choice.

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
