Do employers after medical school look at your attendance at university? We have a lot of optional lectures that also count towards your attendance and a lot of them are not as useful as revising for finals at the moment.
Does anyone know if an employer would look at your attendance at uni and use this in their decision making?

    Thanks!

I'm not aware of it being part of the selection process anywhere. Obviously if you were missing compulsory sessions then your university may well have their own disciplinary procedures and not allow you to sit exams/graduate if you have not been attending, but for genuinely optional lectures, this is unlikely. Your referee may also consider it as part of your "fitness to practice" but I don't know how seriously they would take it.

In George's we get assessed on our attendance and stuff as part of our "Doctor as a Professional" domain which we have to pass as well as our exams. But as Helenia said, no one is going to ask for your actual attendance grades as part of any application process.

As above, not directly taken into account but if you have any FTP issues related to attendance then that might influence employers.
