EVERYONE: How was AQA GCSE English Literature (Unit 1)?

It wasn't too bad for me to be honest. I made everything up and just made my analysis sound well written.

TKAM- part a was a pisstake - really now? the scene at THE END of one of the most analytical scenes in the whole book...bruh! part (b) was okay Jim Crowe laws saved my life How did u guys find it
Most people in my school picked conflict for some reason😂 I found the question on Gerald and Sheila easier
I feel like the grade boundaries are going to be through the roof. God was definitely on my side, couldn't have asked for better questions. I just really hope I didn't waffle...

TKAM extract was quite straightforward, just talk about emotions.
The ****ery of my life. I failed AIC

In OMAM, I wrote that the distant voices of men growing closer was a sure sign of Lennie's death. I said that the voices growing closer was almost a sort of countdown to George executing Lennie. I also said that it creates tension as the voices are mentioned three times in the passage (at the beginning, top of middle and at the very bottom). The tension is then dragged out by George stopping mid-speech when he speaks about their dreams (Lennie has to keep telling him to 'go on'). I also said that them reciting their dream at the very end is symbolic as it is also something that they recite that in the beginning of the novella. I linked it with Steinbeck by saying perhaps he intended to show readers that the American dream was very much futile during the 1930s, if not almost non-existent as seemingly everyone's dreams in the novella seems to have ended in failure or disaster.
aic was the worst thing in my whole life

I did conflict, talked about socialism vs capitalism and the older generation vs the younger one. Really hope the examiner is kind. Also wrote about Crooks and Curley's wife in the the b part.

I picked the conflict question for AIC
Everyone picked conflict?! I chose to write about Gerald and Sheila's relationship.

Spoiler

all I did was to try my best at it and hope I got some marks

I really liked the AIC conflict question, had a lot to write about for that. I failed the OMAM part b though. I wrote about Curley's Wife and Candy and how their dreams were affected but I didn't write about them in society. I should've written about Crooks but I completely forgot. Will my grade be badly affected by this? :frown:

I did conflict and talked about the internal conflict within Sheila's mind between her capitalist influence and socialist influence with god knows how many alternative interpretations.

OMAM part a cyclical references show the inevitability of Lennie's death and something else.

Part B Curley's dreams to break out of society's standards of masculinity held at the time by analysing his glove and with too many alternative interpretations lool

I'm really nervous that I'll get badly penalised for this, I really need an A* so do you think our mark will go down because of this?
