I've just realized I have serious trouble with trigonometric identities, and the C2 exam is in two days. My textbook does not cover them much. Can anyone help?

The main 2 at AS are
 \sin^2 x+ \cos^2 x \equiv 1 and
 \tan x = \sin x /\cos x .
They are called identities as they are true for any value of x you put in (obviously not 90 or π/2 for tan x ) rather than being called equations which are true for only certain values usually.
