    Hi, does anyone know all the formulae for volume or area that we need to know for c2 as there may be some unexpected shapes that we have to calculate. Thanks

    yeah, learn the surface area and volume of a sphere, cuboid, cylinder and possibly a cone (probably not)

    You need to know how to work out the volume and area of a cuboid and cylinder and some 2D shapes

    Cylinders crop up a lot

    Volume=
    πr^2h
    Surface area=
    2πrh+2πr^2
    (Where r= radius of the circular face, and h=height of the cylinder longways)

    Just find the surface area of each of the rectangular faces, which is an area of a rectangle and add them up.

    Volume of Cuboid = 2(LB + BH + LH)

    L= Length
    B=Breadth
    H=Height

    How to remember: Learn By Heart ----> LBH

    I hope this helps.
