    Hey guys,
Was just wondering how you're all getting on with your university processes.
I'm currently taking my AS examinations (new spec) but I'm slightly worried about my university course opportunities, any help and advice would be amazing

Ok, basically our school are only doing the new spec examinations as MOCK exams (meaning we take the exam two days after the real one comes out). Because of this, my teachers have allowed me to drop Biology because I was failing miserably. So now I only have two AS subjects (currently).
I'm going to, in A2, take on the health and social care (single award) BETEC which gives me an A level equivalent if I complete both the year 12 and 13 course in one year (which is possible as other students have done so successfully).

What I'm really here to ask is about university applications on the courses I'm considering..
I really want to become a Primary school teacher or a Midwife. However, I'm worried that the courses I'm doing wont allow me into these courses. I've researched ALOT into this and I've found some information that it may be possible, but I'm looking for someone whose in a similar position or having similar experiences here!

Any help would be amazing.. Sorry to overload you all with information, but I hope it all makes some sense to you, haha!

Thank you so much, hope so hear from you soon :-)

You'll need to check that the courses you want to apply to will accept your qualifications. Not all unis will.

Then over the summer you need to do work experience. Both courses require it. You might be too late to organise placements for the holidays now but you need to look into it asap. Work experience will also help you to decide which course you want - you will not be able to successfully apply to both.
