Foundation and Higher grade boundaries!

Hi

I don't really understand UMS much but the grade boundaries show if you get full marks in the foundation exam then that's worth 100 UMS which is equivalent to the UMS points for getting full marks on the higher tier exam (100).

Does that mean a foundation candidate could do as good as a higher tier candidate considering they've an A/A* in coursework?

Thanks

Hi,

I think foundation papers are capped at C or something, but I am not an expert or anything.

yeah it is
Higher allows you to get to an A*

Foundation allows you to get a C max.

Its a lot better to do Higher because getting a c is very easy and your potential isnt capped, whereas with foundation, an equivalent to a C is E.
