If my grades at AS level are Bs, could I be predicted As at A2 level?

I think it depends on your grade average in the first year/ AS grades?
I've been predicted 4B's too, but a couple of my teachers are saying that people are likely to have that they can be raised to A's in second year.

Okay so today a seriously messed up an exam, just pulled a blank for half of the paper, I know I will have got a U for this paper and it counts for 50% of my AS grade, the other exam went fine and I expect a B/A. Both of my other subject's exams count towards A level but this subject only counts AS. Even so, i still worry that my grade at AS for this subject may prevent the universities that I want to go to considering me. I'd like to know if your grades that universities base their decisions off are predicted grades by your school or raw AS grades achieved this year
