Just curious; I've seen an advert just now telling people to register to vote by 7th June. Thing is, I'm already registered, I got my poll card through today. So, this got me thinking: why am I registered to vote without me doing anything yet other people apparently aren't?

    Just wondering.

If you're on teh elctoral roll where you luve you're automatically registered. The register to vote things apply to students or anybody else living away from home who will be at a different address to their home address and people who need to register for a postal vote.

Your parents would have probably added you as living there on the form so then you automatically got registered once you turned 18.
