The answer is infrared radiation but i thought gamma has the highest frequency and therefore provides the most energy? please help me im confused

It's not asking about the amount of energy per photon... Gamma photons are more energetic than infrared photons... But they're incredibly scarse at the earths surface. Infrared beats gamma by sheer number of photons.
