    its not that i found it difficult at as i just had the wrong attitude and didnt have the right mind set and motivation to put work in

    If you do an access course otherwise they have no evidence and nothing to go on about your ability.

    Many universities will also accept Open University credits as appropriate evidence of ability.

    If I were you I would register to take the A level(s) as a private candidate. If, like you say, you don't find it difficult, this will be the most direct way of satisfying entry requirements. Remember that some universities will require further maths, and some will give you a favourable offer if you've taken it.

    I wouldn't recommend undertaking a maths degree without the knowledge the maths and further maths a-levels give you, they are vital.
