I am currently doing my AS levels , I'm finding them difficult, I always feel like I need a little bit more time so I can finish papers, since I can never really finish a paper properly in the time given (eg 1h 30mins). For example, I did my maths C2 exam today, andI tried really hard to finish but the exam ended and I had answered all but two questions, which were worth quite a few marks. This slow writing has always been a problem of mine, I just cannot fix it. So, would it be possible for me to get extra time, or am I just a slow writer that needs to find someway of speeding up???

You would probably have to talk to your teachers/exam officers about this and then they might needed to carry out like a test on your writing speed. It's worth an ask though because you could get that little bit of extra time that could benefit you so so much! I have just been awarded 25% extra time, and even though it's due to dyslexia I have found it to be so so helpful come exams! Good luck to you

There are people on here that will tell you that you are ineligible for extra time. But in reality, you could qualify. They'll have you do a test where you listen to a recording and write out what you here as fast as you can, then you press a button to progress the recording. If you're a slow writer, you won't get as far as normal, and may be awarded extra time.
