    Hi,
if I submit my EMA and fail, will I be able to resubmit without having to take the whole module again? (I'm in my second year). I've passed all the TMA's quite well. I may be able to complete it, however, some bits may be uncompleted due to time constraint.

    It's says here: http://www.open.ac.uk/students/chart...fter290912.pdf

Most modules allows a resit of the exam or an examinable component do not require a student to reach a certain threshold.

On my Assessment calculator, I put in 30% on the OES and it says "fail-entitled to resubmit". So this means just incase I don't pass my EMA, I can resubmit?

    Thanks

As I understand it, some modules may allow resubmission with a different EMA question a few months later, or failing that with the next presentation of the module.

The resit availability is quite a small point margin. You'd probably be more likely to achieve 40+ percent and have a lowered overall grade. So I'd speak to student support about deferral or aim for a low pass. If it's a level 1 course it really doesn't matter as long as it's a pass. Depending on your pathway and completed modules, your module score may not matter even as a level 2. Only some modules are counted to degree classification
