Where even is Pogba in the first picture, gone for another haircut probably
the second thought just sickens the centre back in me,both getting sucked in and rooneys postioning in the first one is ridiculous and quite frankly shouldn't be in the team
This season is a total lost for us

if you look in the first picture you will see martial on the floor. Mou is not learning from his problems at Chelsea.
First Martial loses his number to Zlatan and now is treated like this and he is having problems with his baby mama
i dont think our 57 million is going to stay. I also dont see why we bought zlatan when Martial was getting used to the league. Now we play him on the left while he have a left winger Memphis on the bench. If Mou wants to play a team full of specialist then he needs to stick to his word.
Play with two strikers with Ibra and the main man and one behind him as SS martial or Rashford utilizing his pace. I dont understand why he stilll not playing fose mensah. He needs to bring back Bastian or give Mensah a chance.

I understand Mou is injuired from the Madrid debacle but he needs to prove himself.

I think theboard mostly Charlton being and OLD english head may support rooney more than the manager and with Charlton having more power than freguson I think that if Mou wants to get rid of rooney,he needs to address the board or another fiasco will occur. There is serious problems with this team.

loool too much if you tihnk back charlton won the world cup with bobby moore as captain he had soo much respect. I think Charlton wrongly see that in rooney so supports him more because of it

That's not in any way Rooney's space to defend though. In both cases Fellaini should be between the penalty spot and the edge of the box ready to defend that area. And if he's not there then Pogba should be covering. Rooney should be thinking how we'll transition to attack if we get the ball, not about covering in his own penalty box. (Two tactical flaws in Pogba's covering and Rooney's transitions, but it's what they're being asked to do (ish))

The first picture I would blame Fellaini - he has panicked and ran back towards the goal. Second pic less so, looking at where Smalling and Bailly are positioned, I can see why he's had to vacate that space. Not that I really want to criticise Fellaini anyway, it's just what happens when someone is played out of position.

Huge questions about Fellaini's positiong there as well in the first picture he is trying to do exactly the same thing Bailly is already doing, so they are both marking one player, obviously leaving another in acres of room. He should be on about the penalty spot marking tje exact ball that results in a goal.

In the 2nd one he is deeprr than both CBs marking no one and contributing nothing.


First picture fair enough, but in the second one he's obviously trying to cover the space between the player on the ball and De Gea and I don't think he has an alternative. Problem there is that Shaw/Smalling aren't doing it.

(I'm assuming the ball is coming right to left towards the goal, can't remember exactly)

Watford deserved all three points for taking full advantage of United's lackadaisical attitude and effort. Mourinho needs to earn his big bucks and come up with a plan to turn things round. He had time off from his Chelsea exit to draw up a transfer plan which was successfully implemented by Woodward yet it seems he hasn't thought much about the structure of the team hence the player he badly wanted is being shunted out of position (Pogba) and the elephant in the team survives public scrutiny from his mates in the media (Rooney). I guess the 'blaming the players' and the exaggeration of the refereering decisions would happen from the manager but ultimately it's a deflection tactic from himself.

Poor goals conceded today yes, but the set-up of the team isn't working at all and players' confidence seems to be dropping which is a natural consequence from the Van Gaal days that after a bad result, heads will drop. But not helped by Mourinho blaming players. Ferguson always criticised the team collectively (well, besides that time he dug out Nani for an error in a Carling Cup game in his last season IIRC) rather than any mention of individuals.

Baffled why Carrick hasn't got a single PL minute under his belt - know he wouldn't play in big or games where the opposition has intensity to their game but don't get why if he was chosen over Bastian to keep that he hasn't featured at all.

I think its that he's just consistently above average. All the players he competes with have had much better games than he has in a long time, but they have also had some shockers. Even when he's been poor Rooney has scored or assisted or something.

I don't believe he has been consistently above average. Many people have said at points he's looked good, but it's mostly because everybody around him has been terrible. He hasn't been good. He has just looked better in comparison to everybody playing worse.

His stats have always looked pretty good, but his performances don't match them.
Time for my boy Carragher to step up to destroy Rooney tomorrow night. Only takes one pundit to speak out about Rooney and the rest (or some) will follow.

Luckily for Rooney, there's no MNF tomorrow night so time for everything to quieten down. Plus, he'll probably play v Northampton and score a hat-trick..
