    Hey all,

May seem quite common but lately my job has made me really unhappy.. I wake up and come in postively, but it all goes out the window when I'm there.

The thing is I only begin to get so unhappy when people start talking? I genuinely don't like most of the people I work with for various reasons, but I don't really sit around the people that I do like. I've grown really spiteful recently and I hate it as I'm generally quite a happy and bubbly person. The girl I like annoys me at work cause she continously has a laugh with someone we both say we don't like at work, but they act as though they're best friends at work.

I've been job searching for a while but I'm worried that it's just this career sector that I may be tired of, though I'm not sure what other direction to go in.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

All across the other side of the room so can't really without shouting over people

Not in the way the room is laid out haha

I'm just not too sure why it bothers me so much - surely people talking shouldn't make me this spiteful, as it's so unlike me!

Definitely! The people I like I tend not to be like that, just want to stop thinking so spitefully, but find it difficult to cover how I'm feeling

Have you spoken to your superiors about this? Most of them should be willing to help you out if you're being non-productive due to the social situation.

You haven't said what field/job you're doing, so I can't really provide a super detailed strategy

The people you work with can make a massive difference to your state of mind. I once worked in a job where I got along really well with colleagues and management. I was then moved to a different department where the management was really arsey. In the end I started wishing they would all die of testi cancer, or receive fellatio from a cannibal or something. Anyway it was really depressing and infuriating and was glad when I was laid off.
I would suggest finding another job also, however theres no guarantee you wont end up working with pricks again.
