i had my unit two gcse english literature exam today but i was given an old paper.
i didnt realise until i got home and everyone was texting eachother a poem on hedgehogs when i had done a poem on the titanic!
i looked up past papers and the questions came up in 2012
im worried ive faile, i want to do english for alevel
    how do i fix this?

You need to talk to your English Literature teacher straight away. I'm unsure how they will be able to resolve the situation but alerting your teacher AS SOON AS POSSIBLE means that they can notify the exam board and perhaps it will get marked especially for you so that you can still achieve a grade.

So they gave you a past paper to sit in the exam?

Uh, this is really weird. How do they manage to do that exactly!? Speak to your school as soon as you can, the exam board may be able to give you a special agreement, such as your target or predicted grade. This is incredibly strange though, never seen anything like it before.
