    Hey,
I understand this is a very niche question but it is one of the reasons I am dreading going to university. Essentially, how easy is it to avoid loud noises at Sheffield Uni?

I had a hearing problems a few years ago which left me with hyperacusis (very sensitive hearing) and tinnitus and I'm terrified of them getting worse and the thing that does it is loud noises of any kind, clubs, bars, concerts even going to the cinema hurts sometimes. I've tried going bars before and it does not end well for me and earplugs don't work outside of cinemas.

So how bad of a time will I have at uni, it feels like its risk my health vs. being social and missing out on the university experience. Obviously, health wins but I'm feeling like I'll become a hermit and a massive misfit.

Sorry for the dour question but any responses and alternatives to clubs, bars etc. will be massively helpful
