Preferred party(s) {if any, we can help you choose!}: Labour
Social stance: Moderate
Economic stance: Marxist
Anything else: I'm a member of the real Labour Party, so I know what we're all about
If you're a Marxist I think you'd be better off in the Socialists to be honest.

Poor characterisation. It's more allocation for the public good.

I would imagine the Liberals would be the best fit for you, but I'm interested as to why you think maybe the Socialists?

When you say you're an economic libertarian, do you mean that you embrace free market, neoliberal economic theory?

If so, I would strongly suggest that you apply to my party (the libertarians); we currently hold 7 seats and are one of the largest parties in the House of Commons, we are a broadchurch of socially and economically liberal members, ranging from classical liberals to minarchists.

Forgive me if I misunderstood what you mean by your economic stance though, a bit more explanation would be nice.

Hi dexterjettser, I'm the Socialist Party's Commissar for External Affairs. Your views seem interesting but I'm not 100% sure if you're right for the Socialists or the Liberals. If you're torn between the two there's always Labour, they have a wide range of views in their party.
I think you should have a look at our party manifestos from the most recent General Election and make your decision from there. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
You can view the manifestos here.

Good luck!

That will be because of my interest in Mutualism (the political school of thought and not the biological process), which is a branch of libertarian socialism. I didn't see that there were manifestos so I understand now that the socialist party isn't the best fit. It's a tough one to call seeing as socialism seems to come in many different shapes and sizes

yesyes I think I figured that out after I found the manifestos. whilst I think that the stance of the socialist party is interesting and I agree on some issues I don't think it's the best fit.
thanks for the help though (-:

my economic stance is that I believe in individuals possessing the means of production, be it collectively or individual, which i believe to be a mutual gain for all. that obviously comes hand in hand with very minimal state control. I guess economically I'm left leaning (libertarian socialism) but to me I think distancing myself from authoriatiarianism and supporting social and personal freedom is more important, hence my interest in your party, which I would very much like to join if that is possible. it seems like the best fit, and I like how diverse it sounds (-:

The Libertarians are the furthest right party economically in the MHoC and completely inappropriate for someone who believes any form of mutualism is a good idea.

Name: The Asian Tory
Preferred party: The Conservative and Unionist Party
Social stance: With respect to my social stances, I am dead on the centre on the right/left and liberty/authoritarian scales. I would best be described as an individual with a social conscious. I am pro religious, gender, sexuality and free speech rights. But I recognise that a strong intelligence, law and order and army is necessary for a functional state. I believe in the distribution of opportunity but I do not believe it large scale distribution of wealth.
Economic stance: I am a centre right individual. I believe in a small but strong state that intervenes in market failures through free trade. I believe in fiscally neutrality (+/- 3 billion GBP) as inflation and growth in the economy will deteriorate the weight of debt. I could be described as a free trader as everyone benefits.
Anything else: Let me in !

Yes, but you need at least 10 members and an ideological difference to the rest of the parties. I'm on mobile now, so can't link sections that are relevant so if you go to the GD and constitution posts in the MHOC you can see the precise requirements
