I plan to study a Masters at the University of Manchester in politics the next academic year. However, i really want to learn German. I can do a German beginners course with it, but would this prove to be too challenging? I would have to do an exam and two assignments for this language course on top of the requirements for my Masters. Anyone from experience know if a Masters is hard enough already without adding something else to it?

    Thank you

The only honest answer you'll get here is 'it depends'. Do you pick up languages easily? Do you need to work a part time job? Do you like to relax after you're done studying? Masters courses are short and intense - yes, it's doable, but why make things harder on yourself by increasing your workload? The German course will still be there after you've finished the masters.
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
