    hi, I'm a 5 foot 5 male who is 17 and a 1/2. I know the growth plates in male legs do not stop growing from 16 to 21. Stronglifts contains squatting 3 times a week. As well as deadlifting. As you can see I'm pretty short, so I'm in no hurry to slow down any of my possible growth. What do you think?

    Most you've got left in you is about an inch anyway if you're the average growing teen. And no it won't. I grew about an inch whilst I was doing SL (anecdotal evidence I know)

    No, it will not stunt your growth. The International Consensus (2014) for youth resistance training states that the Heuter-Volkmann principle whereby "The rate of epiphyseal growth is affected by pressures applied to its axes: increased pressure inhibits growth; decreased pressure accelerates growth." is currently outdated and unsupported by scientific evidence.
