Just to summarise, I went to university from 2009-2010 studying finance and economics but I failed the first year and have been working for the last 6 years. I'm 25 now and interested in going to a new university and studying a new subject, I'm just wondering whether or not I'd be eligible for finance for a second first year?

    Thanks

You will be funded - everyone gets a "gift" year to allow for repeat years or false starts/changing university/course.

You have however missed the deadline for new students to apply for funding and be guaranteed that you'll be paid at the start of the year. You need to get your application in and sent of ASAP to minimise the risk of spending your first term with no funding.

Thanks for your answer, I thought the last deadline was 10th June. I'll have to get in touch with student finance
