Will my marks be cut if I wrote name as 1-bromo-propan2-ol ?

I think the correct name is 1-bromopropan-2-ol so there is no hyphen between bromo and propan-2-ol. But i wrote it with hyphen in the exam.

They don't care. Read somewhere about that (for OCR, right?)

i think you HAVE to put the hyphen after propane... its stupidly picky but they do look for it..
no
It depends how picky they are being. Sometimes they allow hyphen-less, sometimes they don't. You'll have to wait and see.
Hopefully they wont be so strict this time lol
