'Picardy' is a beautiful and recognisable hymn tune, based on a French carol and adapted by Ralph Vaughan Williams in 1906 for the hymn 'Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence'. It was published in The English Hymnal and has since become very popular, particularly given that it is in a minor key.
Here I improvise on the famous melody on the piano in Corpus Christi College Chapel, Cambridge. I hope you enjoy it.
