Has anyone done this? What does it involve?

It looks quite good from what I have seen and there seems to be volunteering involved.

Would it look good on my personal statement and cv?

What are the other people there like? I can be quiet sometimes.

I don't want to be in the police, I want to study languages hopefully at Cambridge but police cadets looks quite fun.

Yeah I figured that out but there is volunteering involved which always looks good as something extra in addition to my language related extracurriculars....

Cambridge are specific in considering only academic and subject-related activities, which they dub super-curriculars. Other unis might well be impressed by more diverse extra-curriculars.

Yeah I know what super curriculars are. There's no harm in doing other things outwith your subject for fun

There is if it distracts you from doing well academically for Cambridge. It will *not* help a Cambridge application. At all.
