Hey everyone. I'm a student from the United States and I would like to see some perspectives from British people.
Why do you guys like the US and American stuff so much?
I follow British Youtubers and I see them going on shopping trips and whatnot and I see so many products that are influenced by American products. It's as if American traditions and values are creeping and infiltrating the UK.
As an American, I can tell you that America isn't that great. Our education system is sort of a joke (common core is terrible). The fact that Donald Trump may be the next president of the United States says something about American people. A lot of Americans are lazy and are looking for the easy way out in things. Our obesity rates are high. Our sense of fashion is nothing compared to Europeans, however I see some Brits adapting to American fashion (not good).
I love British traditions/culture/language and I hope you guys don't ever lose it. In fact, if I had a choice, I would move up to neighboring Canada or even somewhere in Europe.
So what's your perspective on this?

Donald Trump is actually a knowledgeable guy, people just take him far out of context feeding him publicity.

What sort of American products, traditions and values are you referring to? Britain is an extremely unique nation, unlike any other in the world. I'd say Britain influences the rest of the world, not the other way round.
