I varies from city to city, but generally they are very expensive and built VERY quickly to make a mass profit. They generally aim to situate themselves near corner shops/the university and other convenient areas in cities. They are an easy way to make friends and have a social life but they are more hassle than they're worth if you're remotely serious about your studies. Good for first years, but if you want to live in noisy halls with a (general) lack of security/enforcement about parties, you're screwed.

They're designed to be as easy as possible though, but these companies aren't your friend.
