Basically i've had a bad year this year, but i did well last year.

A 2:1 would be great, but i'm not sure how likely i am to get it. Having checked, they do a 50:50 weighting for 2nd and 3rd year, and you need an average of 59.0 to get a 2:1.

My average last year was 65.3, so on my calculation an average of 52.7 would be sufficient to achieve a 2:1. But that seems surely too good to be true?

Has anyone else been in the same situation, where they have done really well in 2nd year yet badly in 3rd year and still gotten a 2:1 ?

yeah, it's normal to need a relatively low average in third year to maintain your grades (providing you're not borderline)... I think I needed about 45% in third year and that was it to get a 2.1
