Basically, I have a dilemma due to cost. I am a Cardiff law graduate and hold conditional offers for LLMs from UCL and Cardiff University respectively. I have always wanted to attend UCL, as it is one of the best institutions in the country to study law. However, Cardiff University has offered me a scholarship which would mean that my tuition fee would be waived. By contrast, an LLM from UCL costs £13,000 and obviously living London is much more expensive than Cardiff. What would you do if you were in my position, given that Cardiff is so much cheaper, yet UCL so well renown?

    Thank you!

I think for something like law, the university which one attended can make a big difference.
I would go for UCL, if money isn't an issue.

What is the recruitment situation for Cardiff Law graduates? Do law firms and government come to campus?

If you have the means, go for UCL. Otherwise the decision is made for you as Cardiff is a great free ride.
