Hello, intermittent lurker here with a question:

Our leadership team announced at a meeting tonight that the only way to build flexibility of choice
into the option blocks for AS & A2 students would be to timetable extra periods at the end of the
day - we currently teach at my school from 8.05 - 2.30 pm; this would be in the 2.30-3.30 slot.
Obviously, many of us already run voluntary enrichment or study classes for our examination groups
and I've no wish to go down the grumbly old woman road but .... aaargh! I can see the logic of the
argument but am worried about the actuality. We are assured that many schools are already following
    this course.

    Are they?

Any experiences or thoughts to share?

    Thanks, Elaine
