I have a teacher. I don’t have favorites but I owe my GCSEs to this one teacher who has never given up on me and has supported me for the past few years – I would have broken down long ago if it wasn’t for her support and understanding. She gives the most perfect, honest advice and is the reason why I am the way I am today.

I’m not saying other teachers don’t support their pupils, but there’s something very special about this one person to me – she appears to be the only one who has understood me and kept me going whenever I broke down.

She’s leaving. To a different country and I cannot stop crying and thinking about going to school without her there. I’m scared that I’m going to break down without her to talk to whenever I need to and it will wreck me. I really appreciate everything she has done for me so much that words can’t express. I’m someone with extremely high anxiety levels and I worry about everything. At the moment I don’t know how I’ll cope…

UPDATE: It's not the fact that I don't get along eith other teachers, it's just that this one in particular just happens to be that one perfect adult we find in life that I can talk to about anything and can be reassured that. I get along with all the others just fine, but it won't be the same.

I'm really sorry to hear this. Could you ask to keep in touch with her somehow?

Why not buy her a small gift or send her a card to tell her how much you appreciated her help? She would be thrilled to hear what you just wrote.

Theres also no reason you cnat get her contact details and keep in touch over social media. Im sure she love to hear what happens to you.

I get along with the others perfectly fine and I do trust them and I do speak to them whenever I have to. I have no problem with any of them, but sometimes in life you find that perfect guide. It just won't be the same.
