    Hi,

I have an offer for MSc Human Computer Interaction that I'm quite excited about! Any other current or incoming students in the Computer Science department here? Would love to connect or hear any insights you may have.

I'm also considering other MSc HCI courses (namely at UCL) which seems to be much more practical focused on transferable work skills (which is good in one sense) however lacks the options St Andrews offers to take modules throughout the Computer Science department (software engineering, artificial intelligence, data, ect).

Also on one level I'd like the small town feel to focus on my coursework, though I do worry I might miss out on some recruiting opportunities not being in London. Anyone know if major tech companies come visit St Andrews? and how St Andrews' reputation (generally and for computer science) compares to UCL within the UK and internationally?

    Thanks

I've accepted my offer for MSc Human-Computer Interaction. I visited St Andrews last week and it's a lovely place. Like yourself I also looked at UCL but I found the course focused too much or ergonomics and the psychology side of things. For me the St Andrews course is perfect.
