A lady bought a moisturizer from a shop and after using it she was burning sensations and red blotches. She went to hospital and doctors confirmed that the moisturizer contained some sort of acid/toxic content.

The shop she bought the moisturizer from is owned by Mr A.
Mr B is who makes this moisturizer and supplies to Mr A to put it in the shop.

Now the lady is proceeding legal actions against Mr A. What would Mr A's legal position be and what liabilities can arise in this situation?

Any help would be much appreciated.
I would need to like talk about any legislations that apply. I am not looking into any other than Consumer Protection Act [2,3,4,5], Consumer Rights Act 2015.
I know as there was bodily harm, Tort law would also apply. There would be the question of owing a duty of care.

Does anyone know of any case laws that I could may be use?
