Hey there!
I'm going to work at a summer camp for the first time this year and I'm a bit unsure about how I'm going to work the while contacting home situation.I'm going through Campleaders and they have sent me a JT travel sim card: I just pay a certain amount each month and I get some data, am able to make local calls and texts and get discounts on phone calls home. However I was wondering if anyone here who had been to camp/ abroad for a long period of time would recommend using something else or knew of a better deal?
I've heard that getting a sim card from three is quite a good idea for making phone calls when abroad. However I am currently on a sim only deal with virgin so I don't know if I can just use a three sim card for the duration of my trip. (As you can tell I'm really stupid when it comes to stuff like this so any suggestions would be appreciated!)
Thanks!![]()

I have used many SIM cards in the last 3 years due to travelling and changing SIM cards due to PPI claim calls. But what I found interesting was I came across a mobile app called 'Cloud SIM'. This App lets me have more than one number on my phone. So what I did was I had a EE Sim card and I downloaded the cloud sim app onto my i phone and i had another 2 UK numbers. Now if I get any calls or anything from PPI or marketing companies i just delete the number and get a new one through the app. This app is likehaving a dual sim phone. Now when I meet up with strangers I give out my app number, supposed to my EE sim number. Hope this helps.... But having said that I used this app in USA when I went for holiday and it lets you have a USA number too. Plus when I made calls from USA to UK it cost me only 1p a min, but this was 1 year ago.
