So I was reading a thread about this but I can't seem to find it anymore. I am a Year 12 student, I'm thinking of doing chemical engineering in uni and I thought it would look good if I did some extra reading over the summer. I was wondering if there are any "must-read" books for aspiring chemical engineers? Books that a college student would understand.

Also, do you think I should try and get work experience to show my enthusiasm and if so what type of place should I be looking at?

Relevant work experience is hard to get and certainly not needed.
