I'm in the process of applying to the Navy as a Royal Marines officer. I've recently been given my date for my Sift interview. I have two main lines of questions.

Firstly, are you sent out an information pack, containing items to look and learn at before the interview? I heard a candidate reference it when talking about his Sift interview.

Secondly, is the Sift interview any different for Royal Marines Officers, compared to Naval Officers? From my understanding questions relating to general knowledge about the Royal Navy make up an entire section of the interview. And while its understandable that they could ask me for details about various ships and their roles... I'm not entirely sure that it would be %100 relevant to a RM Officer. Thus, what kind of questions could I be asked? (General knowledge wise)

I'd be grateful for any and all help!

Looks as if not many people like the Royal Marines Officers!

Did you apply online or careers office?

I went into the Careers office and they gave me a massive information folder.
