Wi-Fi coverage at Southampton? (chromebook)

I'm looking to buy a Chromebook for uni and wondering about the Wi-Fi coverage at Soton, or at least the prevalency of ethernet ports, as Chromebooks are basically bricks without Wi-Fi, at least as far as I know.
I'm hoping on getting into Soton, so I was wondering how connected I'd be should I end up there with me Chromebook. Is buying one a valid option?
(and as a side, is a Chromebook a good choice for a Chemistry course?)

I am currently at Southampton and there is wifi at all the campuses: Highfield, Avenue and Bolderwood I believe would be the most relevant ones to you as a chemist. It's in all the buildings and is generally quite good.
The halls accommodation is linked to the same wifi network so you should be fine if you decide to stay in halls.
Ethernet ports aren't as available but there are some if required.
