I'll go with the US. I love South America a lot as well, Uruguay and Argentina particularly.

A lot of this also applies to Argentina but I like that it is quite European culturally. I like the food and the 'mate' culture, they drink it out of little gourds with bombillas. I like that a nation that has a population of only about 3m people is a powerhouse in world football even though they've got a crap league. I like their flag. I do language exchange with Uruguayans and they are the most helpful Spanish speakers I've spoken to.
France is a great country despite the occasional Gallic shrug.

I'd love to go to Scandinavia and Canada as well. People from both places are super friendly.
