And that plane crashed with someone you loved in it. Would you have anger for that engineer or would you forgive them because it was a mistake?

You don't think planes "need fixing" from time to time?

    1. Most plane crashes occur because of pilot error actually. Would have been a much better example.

    2. What do you mean by fixing? Failing to carry out proper maintenance? Fixing suggests something was discovered wrong and needs to be "fixed". But that implies they discovered something was wrong. And they would not let the plane fly before it is fixed. So do you mean the engineer did not follow proper maintenance procedures and as a result missed out on something that needed fixing?

    Forgive maybe, but not forget.

It would depend on the nature of the mistake:

Was he anyway to blame i.e negligent? = No.
Was he just under trained, it was a freakish error, then forgive an not forget.
If the company was responsible for his lack of training or ha poor working conditions, then I would blame the company.

The engineer had no intention of killing the person I loved and besides there are many other factors involved than just him
