For exams where you write you answer in a separate booklet, can we answer the questions in any order? So instead of question 1 for something like RE, can we start with question 5?

    Hi,

I would have thought that, as long as you CLEARLY indicate which question you are answering, it would be fine. If you don't clearly show which question is being answered then it can just be marked wrong.

Saying this, I'm not the most clued up on the question, so perhaps email a teacher/tutor, so that you know for sure? Hopefully somebody more knowledgeable replies to this, sorry!

I feel like it would probably annoy the examiner since they have to look around for all your questions... and that's the last thing you want to do to somebody marking your paper

yes you can, for english i did the essay first then the extract (which was question 1). i put the number in the box so it's fine as long as you do that. these answer booklets get scanned and they'll cut off questions and send it off to different examiners so the order really isnt important at all. your answers will be marked by like 5 different examiners anyways.

Did you get the same mark you were expecting in the end? And thanks.

not at all, i was confident that there were no rules to the order of answering the questions. i had full ums with literature unit 1 and i answered them in different order so dont worry. just make sure you write the question number or even the heading above your answer so they'll know
