    Hi guys,

In a proof question ("Prove that something equals soemthing else"), is it necessary to work from the left hand side to the right? I find some questions easier if I work from the right hand side to the left, but will I be penalised by the exam board (Edexcel in my case)?

    Many thanks

Hi, I do AQA Maths myself, but I know on our exam board that either way is fine and alternative methods are sometimes given on the mark scheme. Maybe perhaps check for some mark scheme answers and see if any alternative methods are given?I'm sorry I can't be more useful, hopefully somebody on your exam board replies!
