    I did my ocr French gcse about 2 weeks ago but I don't think the exam went to well and I'm really scared because I'm excelling in all my other subjects - hoping for A*'s/A's and maybe a few B's but i'm worried that i'll get a C/D grade in French (not my strongest subject AT ALL)

    It's 60% coursework/controlled assessment and I got a B grade overall for that.

    If I really flopped my exam (worth 40% - 20% each) and got C/D grades could I still get a B overall?

    Worst case scenario:
    60% = B
    20% = D/C
    20% = D
    Overall = C ??

    Best Case scenario:

    60% = B
    20% = C
    20% = B
    Overall = B??

    I know getting a C isn't a fail but by my standards it is .
    What I'm trying to ask is.. depending on how bad a grade I got in the exam, will it affect my overall grade massively?

    Unofortunately if you have done terrible in the exam it will affect your grade. I have seen people who had A*s in their coursework for language and ended up getting a C due to 40% exam grade. However if you think you got a D in the exam you will probably get a C overall.
