Bathroom/Shower facilities at Cambridge

Does anybody know what the bathroom/shower facilities are like? I hope to be studying maths in jesus college in 2004, and was wondering if the showers are communal, are there loads of showers in one room, or do you get small bathrooms shared between a few people or something? The same applies for toilet facilities.

When i went up for my interview there were two lockable shower/toilet rooms between 5/6 bedrooms. however thats just one college. I think some have en-suite - lucky ppl! :smile:

Ensuites are relatively rare and the rent's generally much more expensive... you usually have one or two showers shared between a small number of people. There's often, say, one bathroom on a staircase or a couple on a floor. The facilities do vary from college to college though; my friend at Jesus seems to share with very few people (and has a massive room) so you'll probably be all right for facilities :smile:

I stayed in some Jesus accomodation a few months ago, you got a shower between two people, it was okay, other than it's quite creepy because there's a big semi transparent glass window facing onto a main court, you felt like people could see you even though you couldn't, although apparently if you shower at night with the light on there's a silhouette =o
