Being referred for Tesco job

Hi

I have a friend that works on customer service in Tesco, she said she would gladly refer me for one of the positions that they are advertising.

Does anyone know if this would be an advantage to me getting referred by her? Like what the usual process for this is?

Wouldnt really make that much of a difference.
Process -
1) fill in an application form
2) friend gives it to manager saying this is off my friend
3) you get interview
4) you either do or dont get the job
5) if you get the job you go to an indutction, get fitted for your uniform, and have training

^ Getting the interview is the hardest part in that list, therefore if a friend recommends you, its better than no recommendation I suppose.

Never? Heard this from at least 3 people that work for Tesco. Told that employees get £50 for referring someone, told that's why alot of the store jobs get filled internally, from staff getting £50 for getting someone.

Yeah thats true. I've reffered two people before and got £50 for each of them. Reffering people usually works out pretty good because then you know someone when you start instead of being 'that new person'.
